SKN-RG – a contraction of SKiN eneRGy - is a British brand of vegan, certified organic & advanced botanical skincare products - lovingly developed and produced by husband-and-wife team of scientists Deborah & Robert Scott – based in an area of outstanding natural beauty, on the East coast of Essex.

The comprehensive massage concludes with cooling and calming semi-precious rose quartz wands gently smoothed across the skin – leaving it plumped up and glowing.

SKN-RG Evolution - Rehabilitation Beauty Spa Facial Treatment          | 90 min | £65

This indulgent treatment uses products from the Evolution range, based on modern clinical actives, derived from amazingly adaptive plants, such as the Blue Diamond Plankton and the Rose of Jericho (Resurrection Plant) to name just two, who have adapted to protect themselves from the elements by producing particular chemical compounds – the molecules extracted from these fabulous plants have adaptogen properties enabling them to reach deep into the skin - where needed - to repair, nourish and stimulate tissues at cellular level for intense skin rejuvenation.

The extensive massage concludes with the smoothing of semi-precious selenite wands across the skin to further enhance the re-balancing and revitalisation of your skin while leaving you calm and relaxed.

SKN-RG Evolution – Sparkle Peel & Reveal Expert Spa Facial    | 90 min | £70

The latest in the SKN-RG Facials, this treatment features an additional step by introducing a new generation of glycolic exfoliation to resurface the skin and address many concerns – such as acne, photo-damage, hyper-pigmentation, melasma, fine lines and wrinkles.

SKN-RG’s new Zen Glycolic Peel is formulated as an 11% strength solution – thus making it very mild and safe to use on the most sensitive skin. It also includes a cutting-edge molecule called Zen Active Plankton (derived from the Blue Diamond Plankton) that protects and restores the skin’s equilibrium.

When applied to the skin, a mild tingling sensation can be felt – the bonds attaching dead cells to the surface of the skin are dissolved, revealing fresh skin underneath while stimulating the production of new cells in the process – results are visible from the first application with no down-time. 

With SKN-RG’s new Zen Glycolic Peel, long-lasting results are achieved gently and progressively – therefore regular treatments are recommended as well as using the products at home in between salon visits.

A note about glycolic acid – it’s not as scary as it may sound!

Glycolic acid belongs to the family of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) – a group of exfoliants that are water soluble and capable of dissolving the bonds attaching dead skin cells to the surface of the skin – this reveals fresh new skin underneath and boosts the renewal of skin cells as well as improving the penetration of skincare ingredients applied to the skin, allowing them to get absorbed deeper - at cellular level - to correct, nourish and revitalise the skin by increasing cell turnover.

Glycolic acid has a smaller molecular size than other AHAs – allowing it to penetrate deeper into the skin for a slower, more sustained action without any drying effect. This is important for every skin type but is a particular advantage for acne and breakout prone skins which can easily get exacerbated by inadequate products (usually sold for oily skin) that often over-dry the skin resulting in a counter-productive effect.

Glycolic acid has antibacterial properties which keep inflammation at bay. Generally presented in a low percentage solution – for example, SKN-RG’s Zen Glycolic Peel is an 11% solution – glycolic acid is quite mild – however, it still needs to be introduced gradually and gently to the skin in order to achieve long-lasting results in a safely manner.

And finally, a note about Blue Diamond Plankton &e     the Rose of Jericho:

Two of the numerous fabulous plants found in SKN-RG products, these have been selected for their extraordinary ability to adapt and protect themselves against environmental aggressions. 

The Blue Diamond Plankton has developed a diamond-shaped shield to defend itself against the harmful effects of blue UV light – hence its name – while the Rose of Jericho, a plant of the desert also called the Resurrection Plant, comes back to life when it rains, sometimes after over a hundred years.

Both plants have managed to adapt to very harsh conditions by producing specific chemical compounds that have adaptogen properties – which means that these molecules are capable of reaching, repairing and correcting skin tissues as and where needed.
